Volunteers : Helping hands : Schools Seek Help for Research, Reports
Two advisory groups for the Tustin Unified School District are seeking parents, teachers and community members as volunteers.
The Community Advisory Committee on Goals 2000 will study the federal program and how it relates to the district, then present a report to the school district’s board of trustees in May.
The second group, Special GATE Task Force, will research the district’s Gifted and Talented Education program and make recommendations to the board.
Trustees will appoint a maximum of 13 volunteers to each panel at their Jan. 22 meeting, officials said. The application deadline is Tuesday. Information: (714) 730-7305.
