Country line dancing, dog obedience and women’s self-defense programs are just a few of the more than 500 classes offered through Ventura’s winter recreation program, which is now accepting registration applications.
Classes begin the week of Jan. 29 and run from six to eight weeks. Fees are between $15 and $60, depending on the type and length of class.
There are special classes for senior citizens and those with disabilities. Brochures listing the full range of courses available can be found at local businesses and shops. To register, call 658-4726, or visit the Community Services office at City Hall, 501 Poli St., Room 226.
Registration is on a first-come, first served basis.
