Northridge Falls to Oral Roberts
TULSA, Okla. — Tim Gill made five consecutive three-point baskets and finished with a career-high 30 points Monday night to lead Oral Roberts to an 88-53 victory over Cal State Northridge.
The Golden Eagles (6-6) had control of the game in the first 10 minutes. Gill then started the second half by making his five three-point shots in a span of 2:24.
Damion Morbley scored 16 points for the Matadors (4-11), despite playing only 11 minutes. He was one of four Northridge players battling flu.
Oral Roberts led, 42-24, at halftime and by as many as 37 points late in the game.
The Eagles shot 59% and made 11 of 19 three-point attempts, and forced 22 turnovers.
