Obituaries : Robert B. Baldwin; Former Actor, Realtor

Robert Browning Baldwin, a former actor and Ventura Realtor, died Saturday at his daughter’s home in San Diego after a brief illness. He was 92.
Baldwin, who was born Jan. 7, 1904, in St. Louis, lived in Ventura County for 38 years before moving to San Diego in April to be closer to his family.
Baldwin was an actor under contract with 20th Century-Fox for 20 years and had appeared in many films. He also performed on Broadway and was a real estate agent in Ventura from 1946 until retiring in 1989.
He enjoyed exercise and walked five to six miles a day into his late 80s.
Baldwin was preceded in death by his son, John Baldwin, in 1995 and his wife, Cecilia Parker Baldwin, in 1993.
He is survived by his daughter, Ann Bridges of San Diego; his son, Robert Baldwin Jr. of Tracy; five grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Charles W. Foley Jr. of Broadway Baptist Church of Escondido will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills.
