Two Irvine youths have been cited for developing the best personal financial plans in a countywide competition.
Kim Tran and Jasmine Benabov, both of Greentree Elementary School in Irvine, put together the best proposals of hundreds submitted by students across the county for the contest, sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank.
The participants had to come up with financial plans with short- and long-term goals, bank officials said.
The winners will be honored at a ceremony Jan. 25 at the Wells Fargo History Museum in Los Angeles.
