Racing Goes to the Dogs in Wyoming

Wyoming is putting on the dog for its first International Rocky Mountain Stage Stop Sled Dog Race, which is scheduled to begin Feb. 4 in Jackson and end up back there Feb. 13.
The 10-day race, which will feature internationally known mushers Susan Butcher, Rick Swenson and others, will be run in stages, covering from 30 to 80 miles a day. The entire course, on snowmobile trails, is open to the public for free viewing. Information: (800) 225-5996.
