Washington Goes Distance, 85-71

SEATTLE — Mark Sanford scored 27 points and Washington tied a school record with 10 three-point baskets in an 85-71 Pacific-10 Conference victory over Washington State on Sunday.
The Huskies, 10-4 overall and 3-2 in the Pac-10, led by as many as 27 points in the second half against the Cougars (8-5, 1-4) after building a 16-point halftime lead.
Washington made 54% of its shots, including 10 of 13 three-point shots. Sanford, playing 26 minutes, made 12 of 17 shots, including three of four three-point shots.
Isaac Fontaine led Washington State with a season-high 25 points. Donminic Ellison added 11 points.
