Fox Television has already experimented with a computerized hockey puck at the NHL All-Star game. So what’s next? How about a computerized golf ball?

“I’d really like to [put transmitters] in a golf ball,” Fox Sports President David Hill told USA Today. “The most wasteful shot in sports is a golf ball up in the air. [A TV comet tail] could let you see if the ball is hooking or fading. We’re working on that now.”

Gee, it will be just like the Fourth of July.

Charlie McCreight, a ticket broker in Denver, said, “We’re getting about 100 calls a day about tickets.” He also said courtside seats that sell for $150 are now priced at $350 for the Bulls’ appearance Feb. 4 against the Nuggets.
