Center Johnson Gets Reinstated at Long Beach
Marcus Johnson, a sophomore center/forward at Long Beach State, has been reinstated after sitting out two games because of suspension, 49er Coach Seth Greenberg said Tuesday night.
Greenberg suspended Johnson, the 49ers’ leading shot blocker with 15, Friday for violating an unspecified team policy. Long Beach, 8-7 overall and 3-3 in the Big West Conference, has lost its last two conference games.
“I think Marcus understands what this was about,” Greenberg said. “In his heart, Marcus is a good kid.”
