Erin Shishido, a 5-foot-2 guard who has a 4.0 grade-point average, sat out almost all of last season because of a knee injury. She has returned for her senior season to average 11 points and four assists and lead surprising Venice High to a 14-6 record, 3-1 in the Coastal Conference, even though the Gondoliers have no player taller than 5-8.
