Countywide : Weekend Likely to Be Free of Rain
The drizzles and occasional rain that wrapped Orange County in a gray cloak Thursday are not expected to return until Monday or early Tuesday, meteorologists said.
The light rain, brought on by a cold front that swept through Southern California, did not amount to much, measuring only in the hundredths of an inch. But it was enough water to cause several fender benders and to slow traffic throughout the county.
“The cold front should pass . . . so the next couple of days will be dry, with patchy fog near the coast but fair to partly cloudy skies expected otherwise,” said Rob Kaczmarek, a meteorologist with WeatherData, which provides forecasts for The Times.
Daytime temperatures should hover in the mid-60s through the dry weekend, Kaczmarek said, and rain will likely return early next week.
