Rep. Browder Senate Bid

WASHINGTON — Rep. Glen Browder of Alabama said Friday he was leaving the House to run for the Senate to replace retiring fellow Democrat Howell Heflin. Browder, 53, has served in the House since 1989, representing the 3rd Congressional District in eastern Alabama.
