OPPOSED: Palmdale’s Pete Knight opposes same-sex marriages, but the Los Angeles City Council begs to differ. On a 10-1 vote Friday, the council passed a motion to fight Knight’s state Assembly bill. The measure would prevent California from recognizing such marriages. . . . “When the gay and lesbian community is attacked in this way, all of us are diminished,” said sponsoring Councilman Mike Feuer.

Defense attorney Leslie Abramson was seeking to rebut the Nov. 3 testimony of Jose’s secretary, Marzie Eisenberg, who said that Lyle claimed to be wearing his father’s shoes during his parents’ memorial service.
