Marvin Davis to Develop Riverboat Casino: Los Angeles-based Davis Gaming said it will build a $60-million riverboat casino in Boonville, Mo. The riverboat, to be situated midway between St. Louis and Kansas City, will have a 35,000-square-foot casino, an on-shore entertainment center, and shops and restaurants. Davis Gaming, which is owned by investor Marvin Davis, said the project must still be approved by the Missouri Gaming Commission. Last month the company announced an $80-million joint-venture project with Lady Luck Gaming Corp. in Kimmswick, Mo., 25 miles south of St. Louis. Davis Gaming also named Michael Colleran to the new position of president of Davis Gaming.
