New Beverly Hills Newspaper Started
The inaugural issue of the Beverly Hills Chronicle, a new monthly newspaper, was distributed throughout the upscale community last week.
The Brentwood Media Group Inc., which owns and operates four other Westside papers, introduced the February issue of the tabloid-size newspaper. The group’s monthly papers include the Brentwood News, Century City Chronicle, Santa Monica News and Westwood News.
The Beverly Hills Chronicle will be “half-newspaper, half-magazine,” said Jeff Hall, its editor-and-publisher. The paper will focus on people and businesses in the community, and will use the monthly format to give a more in-depth look at a few of the larger issues affecting Beverly Hills, he said.
The paper will be competing with two existing weeklies in the city of 32,000: the Beverly Hills Courier and Beverly Hills 213.
