New 90-Day Ticket at British Airways
British Airways is introducing a 90-day advance-purchase ticket that offers consumers savings of at least $100 off the prevailing 21-day advance fare. The new fare--called the All Seasons APEX Fare--is not a sale, a British Airways spokesman said, but a permanent guaranteed rate. (If British Airways publishes a lower fare for the date and time of a ticket holder’s travel, the airline will refund the difference. In May, the new 90-day round-trip fare for weekday departures will be $618 compared to $726 for tickets purchased 21 days in advance. From June through September, the new round-trip ticket will cost $766 compared to $886 for a 21-day advance-purchase ticket.
