Nation IN BRIEF : ARKANSAS : 2 Bankers With Ties to Clinton Indicted

Two bankers were indicted on charges they misused bank money to contribute to President Clinton’s political campaigns, including $7,000 hand-delivered to Clinton a month after his 1990 election as Arkansas governor. The indictment in Little Rock, Ark., against Herby Branscum Jr. and Robert Hill was returned by Whitewater independent counsel Kenneth W. Starr. Branscum and Hill are charged with misapplication of bank funds, making false entries in bank records and conspiracy.
