Glendora freshman Casey Jacobsen made all 14 free throws and finished with a game-high 28 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Tartans lost to Crenshaw, 118-76, in the first round of the State Southern Regional Division I boys’ basketball playoffs Tuesday night at Cal State Dominguez Hills. Glendora finished the season 25-7. . . . The Muir boys’ team will play at San Diego University in the semifinal round of the Southern Regional Division III tournament tonight after the Mustangs (23-10) defeated San Diego Mission, 72-45, on Tuesday. . . . In a Southern Regional Division V game, the Western Christian girls’ basketball team rallied from an 18-point third-quarter deficit but fell short in losing to Julian High, 56-48, despite 17 points from sophomore Charlene Simril. . . . Veronica Brenes and Denise Esterda combined to pitch a no-hitter in Rosemead’s 6-0 victory over Bassett in softball Tuesday.
