Pacific International to Buy Third Rail

LOS ALAMITOS — Pacific International Enterprises Inc. said Thursday it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Third Rail Inc., a Los Angeles sporting apparel manufacturer that began in 1990 by selling graffiti-design T-shirts and caps.
Third Rail since has shifted into a variety of other clothing designs for surfers, skateboarders and snowboard enthusiasts. The company had estimated revenue of $4 million last year and projects revenue of $6 million this year. Pacific International’s subsidiary, Crush Innovative Sports Systems, develops sports-related products in such markets as snowboarding and in-line skating.
Terms of the proposed deal were not disclosed.
