Obituaries : Grace C. Herold; Research Librarian

Grace C. Herold, a longtime Oak View resident, died in Ojai Valley Community Hospital on Tuesday. She was 77.
Herold was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Oak View the past seven years. She was a research librarian and a member of the Oak View Women’s Club. She attended St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Ojai.
She is survived by her daughter, Hope Herold Macaluso of Ojai; sisters, Alice Pommett of New Jersey, Doris Brown of Virginia, Ruth Whelan of New York, Rosemary O’Brien of Florida and Eileen Renison of New York; brothers, Barrett McGurn of Washington, D.C., and Robert McGurn and Edward McGurn, both of New York.
Visitation is scheduled from noon to 8 p.m. today at Clausen Funeral Home in Ojai. A Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church with the Rev. James P. Rezner officiating. Burial follows in Ivy Lawn Cemetery in Ventura.
