Verstraeten Puts the Arm on Hancock

Robert Verstraeten had 10 strikeouts as Ventura College trounced Hancock, 12-0, on Thursday in a Western State Conference baseball game at Hancock.
Verstraeten allowed five hits over seven innings for the Pirates (9-7, 3-3 in conference play).
Jason Kimble, who had two hits and four runs batted in, hit a three-run home run during a four-run third inning.
Rick Collier had two hits, including a home run in the seventh inning, for Ventura.
Hancock is 6-12, 0-6.
