To help you better navigate the fast-changing world of business, finance and the economy, The Times Business section today inaugurates a series of changes.
The Sunday Business section has been redesigned and new features added to focus on personal finance and investments. Tom Petruno’s widely followed Market Beat column will move to Sunday. (His column will also continue to appear on Wednesday.)
Additional stories and columns on how to invest and plan your financial future appear each week inside Sunday Business. We will continue to publish expanded markets tables on Sunday that track investments’ performance over time.
The section will also include new features on careers, the workplace and corporate culture.
On Monday, we will introduce The Cutting Edge, a revamped Business section that features stories, columns and graphics on computing and technology--from dominant trends and companies to new products and career opportunities. Other business news will continue to appear in the section.
In the Tuesday Business section, we have added to coverage of small business to reflect Southern California’s preeminence as the nation’s capital of entrepreneurship. The Southern California Enterprise profile will join Jane Applegate’s column and he Learning Curve feature on start-up firms. We will also cover home office topics.
Other special Business features--Company Town, International Business/The Pacific and Executive Travel--will continue to appear throughout the week. A rundown of special features--along with phone numbers and e-mail addresses for key editors--appears today on D5. Information on how to reach us will appear daily so you can let us know how we are doing.
