Jury Reform

Three cheers to the Blue Ribbon Commission for its proposal to restore some common sense to our jury system (April 30).

Our court system is overburdened, and active participation is crucial for the jury system to function properly. We applaud the commission’s effort to make the system more efficient and user-friendly for potential jurors. Reducing juror frustration and system backlog will encourage more individuals to fulfill their civic duty and save taxpayers a bundle.
