Camps for Kids With Asthma
*
Some parents are concerned about sending children with asthma to summer camp. The American Lung Assn.’s Asthma Camps try to remove that fear, says association president Jacqueline McLeod. “Trained personnel teach the children how to manage their asthma while enjoying regular camp activities such as swimming, bicycling, and arts and crafts,” she says.
Call (800) LUNG-USA for details about the asthma camps.
