The honors continue to roll in for Robert Fick, the Cal State Northridge catcher whose offensive numbers rival any college player in the nation. Fick was selected first-team All-American by Baseball America magazine Thursday, making him the catcher on both All-American teams released so far.

Fick, who batted .420 with 25 home runs and 96 runs batted in, last week was chosen to the Collegiate Baseball All-American team. The Smith Award team has yet to be released.

Fresno State’s Jeff Weaver, a freshman right-handed pitcher from Simi Valley, was selected to the second team. Weaver had a record of 12-5 with a 2.51 earned-run average.
