Police Identify Man Found Slain in Alley

ANAHEIM — Police have identified a man found slain early Thursday in a narrow alley between two buildings as Michael Blanchard, a 43-year-old Anaheim resident.
Police said Blanchard had been sleeping in the area of the 400 block of South Brookhurst Street.
About 1:30 a.m. Thursday, a passerby found Blanchard’s body and contacted police. They said only that they suspect the victim died in the 3-foot wide alley where his body was discovered, but declined to discuss other details of the killing pending further investigation.
No arrest had been made.
