Interest-Free Loans Made Available for Fullerton Businesses

FULLERTON — A new loan program approved by the city’s Redevelopment Agency will give business owners an opportunity to spruce up their premises, officials said.
The City Council, acting in its capacity as the Redevelopment Agency, voted 4-1 recently to make interest-free improvement loans of up to $50,000 to businesses in Fullerton’s redevelopment areas.
Former Mayor Robert Ward said that, in exchange for the no-interest loans, the city “is getting something to be proud of. . . . We want our downtown healthy.”
Final approval on each loan rests with the council.
