WOODLAND HILLS — A lone man robbed a bank Monday in a heist Los Angeles police said was not connected to a recent string of takeover robberies at San Fernando Valley banks.
The man escaped from the Great Western Bank in the 18400 block of Ventura Boulevard about 2 p.m. with an undisclosed amount of cash, officers said. Police did not say whether he was armed.
The robber is apparently not connected to two groups of bandits authorities suspect of several Valley bank holdups this year, Lt. Ray Lombardo said.
