Three D Departments Suffers Sales Drop

COSTA MESA — Three D Departments Inc. posted losses for the fiscal third quarter and nine months ended April 27 on lower sales.
The chain, which sells home textiles, housewares and decorative accessories, said it lost $148,000, or 6 cents a share, for the third quarter, compared with a loss of $104,000, or 4 cents a share, during the same period last year. Sales fell to $10.4 million from $11.5 million. For the nine months, losses totaled $336,000, or 14 cents a share, compared with net income of $108,000, or 4 cents a share, a year ago. Sales declined to $36.5 million from $38 million.
