One of seven theft charges against a woman accused of cheating journalists out of apartments during the Olympics was dropped after one of the reporters failed to show in court.

Journalists from the other news and broadcast agencies meticulously went over their contracts in a preliminary hearing at Atlanta Municipal Court for Meggen Mills, arrested July 8 and accused of taking more than $1 million from news organizations for housing she could not provide.

Mills pleaded innocent to seven counts of theft by deception.

Cal State Fullerton’s Brian Loyd and Mark Kotsay each hit home runs and the U.S. Olympic baseball team hit seven in a 11-5 victory over Italy.
