1 Killed, 3 Injured in 4-Car Collision
NORTH HOLLYWOOD — One man was killed and three other people injured Saturday in a four-car collision on the northbound Hollywood Freeway near Sherman Way.
Paramedics called to the scene just after 2:30 p.m. found one victim with massive head and chest injuries, who died en route to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The car he was driving had apparently been pierced by a guard rail, Humphrey said.
Three others were treated for minor injuries at Kaiser Permanente Panorama City Medical Center.
