Coach: Janice Rolfing (10th year).
1995: Seventh in State Division II finals; Southern Section Division II-AA runners-up; Pacific Coast League champions; 4-1 league dual-meet record.
Key returners: Romy Gedissman, Sr.; Jennifer Hall, Jr.; Allyson Marquand, So.; Allison Rice, Jr.; Rachel Steinfeld, Jr.; Misha Wilson, Sr.
Key newcomers: Lauren Baker, So.; Mari Bennett, So.; Allison Hall, Fr.; Sarah Romano, Fr.; Allison Tomcheck, Jr.
Outlook: The Trojans were at their best at season’s end a year ago and with six of their top seven runners returning, the future looks mighty bright. Marquand posted the county’s fastest time of the day at the Orange County Championships and was the Times Athlete of the Year last season in cross-country. Wilson is arguably the best No. 2 runner in the county, as she finished fourth in the league final. Rice and Tomcheck should be the team’s third and fourth runners. Depth is not a problem for the Trojans, who can easily fill out the remaining three varsity positions.
