Authorities have arrested two more suspects in a gang-related stabbing last Saturday in Newbury Park.
The stabbing took place about 6:25 p.m. in the 600 block of Paseo La Perla, authorities said. Two boys, 14 and 15, received minor to moderate stab wounds and were treated at Columbia Los Robles Hospital and released, authorities said.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested two suspects Sunday and have been looking for two more men.
On Thursday, gang unit deputies from the Sheriff’s Department along with officers from the Simi Valley Police Department served search warrants simultaneously on the four suspects’ homes. During the search, authorities found the two other suspects, both of Newbury Park.
Arrested were Victor Frederick Maddens, 21, and Jacob Humberto Robledo, 18, according to sheriff’s Gang Unit Sgt. Mike De Los Santos. Both suspects were booked into the East County Jail.
Maddens was being held Thursday night in lieu of $20,000 bail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a controlled substance, said a jail spokesman.
Robledo was being held in lieu of $20,000 bail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, the spokesman said.
