Police Seek Man Who Molested 8-Year-Old Girl Outside School
THOUSAND OAKS — Authorities were searching Friday for a man who molested an 8-year-old girl outside a Thousand Oaks preschool.
The incident occurred about 1 p.m. at the Christian Pre-School & Kindergarten of Thousand Oaks, 301 W. Avenida De Las Flores, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
The girl was playing in an open playground when a man approached her and asked for directions to an office, Sgt. Frank O’Hanlon said. The man then followed the girl to the rear of a building and molested her, he said.
The man fled the area in a blue pickup truck with an extended cab, O’Hanlon said.
Despite a search of the area authorities were unable to find the man. He is described as white, 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 160 pounds with short blond hair combed back and a small mustache. He was wearing a white, short-sleeved shirt and white pants, both spattered with paint.
