Weeklong OCC Series Explores AIDS Issues
Orange Coast College this month will host a weeklong series of lectures, workshops and performances about AIDS.
The events, from Nov. 15 to 23, precede the Dec. 1 global AIDS observance: One World, One Hope.
The seminars will focus on HIV transmission, gays and lesbians, ethnic groups and sex under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
Highlights include: DANC’N ETC.’s ensemble performance at noon Nov. 15 in the Robert B. Moore Theatre; the Faces of AIDS photo exhibit from Nov. 18 to 21 in the Student Center Lounge; and a ceremony for Orange Coast College faculty and students affected by the virus at noon Nov. 22 in the Student Health Center.
