University High School’s Trojan marching band hopes to raise $40,000 so its members can travel to St. Louis, to participate in the Winter Guard International Friendship Cup band tournament on Nov. 16.
The band was selected during a regional competition last month in Las Vegas to represent the southwestern states in the national competition.
The school’s music booster club is helping to raise the funds and is accepting donations from the community.
