Pittorino May Lose His Record
A.J. Pittorino of Hartwick College originally was credited with an NCAA all-classes record of 443 yards in 45 carries at Waynesburg (Pa.) College on Saturday. But after reviewing game films, Waynesburg determined Pittorino erroneously was credited with 27 yards on a play in which Hartwick was penalized 15 yards for holding, giving him a revised total of 434 yards in 46 carries--seven fewer than Dante Brown’s record 441 yards for Marietta College against Baldwin-Wallace on Oct. 5.
