Taft 41, Birmingham 6--Taft (9-0, 6-0) preserved its perfect record by defeating the host Braves (4-5, 2-4).
The Toreadors’ offense, ranked second in the City Section, amassed 456 yards. Damon Coleman terrorized Birmingham’s defensive secondary, catching six passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns.
Marquis Brignacrushed for 174 yards in 12 carries and two touchdowns.
Taft held the Birmingham to 134 yards.
