Blackhawks’ Belfour Gets 30th Shutout
Ed Belfour became the 28th goaltender in NHL history to record 30 career shutouts, stopping 24 shots Sunday night as the Blackhawks beat the Ottawa Senators, 2-0, at Chicago.
Eric Daze and James Black scored for the Blackhawks.
Belfour and Colorado’s Patrick Roy are the only active goalies with at least 30 shutouts.
Philadelphia 3, Toronto 1--John LeClair continued his hot streak with a pair of goals at Philadelphia.
LeClair clinched the victory with his 10th goal of the season on a third-period power play.
Detroit 4, Tampa Bay 2--Goaltender Chris Osgood turned back 31 shots as the Red Wings won at home. Nicklas Lidstrom had a goal and an assist for Detroit, which also got goals from Sergei Fedorov, Vyacheslav Kozlov and Martin Lapointe.
