ARV Assisted Living Inc.: The Costa Mesa operator of assisted living facilities reported net income of $747,000, or 8 cents a share, for the second fiscal quarter, contrasted with a net loss of $475,000, or 12 cents a share, for the same period a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 rose to $19.1 million from $6.5 million. For the first half, the company posted net income of $612,000, or 7 cents a share, which included an extraordinary charge of $386,000 for early extinguishment of debt.
