Motorola Reshuffles Top-Level Management

Schaumburg, Ill.-based Motorola Inc. replaced its chief executive and chairman in a top-level management shuffle, bringing in younger leadership as the telecommunications company struggles to improve slumping profit. Christopher Galvin, 46, Motorola’s president and chief operating officer, replaces Gary Tooker as chief executive. Tooker, 57, takes over as chairman but gives up day-to-day responsibilities for running the company.
