CET Environmental Services Inc.: The Tustin environmental remediation, water treatment and emergency response company reported a net loss of $2.8 million, or 56 cents a share, for the third quarter, contrasted with net income of $518,932, or 11 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue rose 2% to $13 million from $12.8 million. A net loss of $2.6 million, or 50 cents a share, was recorded for the nine-month period, contrasted with net income of $1.4 million, or 33 cents a share, for the first three quarters last year. Revenue was up 37% to $40 million from $29.2 million.

The company attributed the third quarter loss primarily to losses on certain unproductive operations, nonrecurring charges for discontinuing those operations and charges to reflect lower margins on certain projects.
