A construction company has been chosen to renovate a city-owned dwelling to be used as temporary housing for homeless senior citizens.
Wind Construction of Orange will be paid $30,000 to renovate the three-bedroom home on Wyoming Street.
The house already has a new roof done with donated materials and labor. Much of the remaining work will be done for free, but the city has hired the construction firm to do the carpeting and wiring.
The property is being leased for $1 a month to the Asian American Senior Citizens Assn., which will operate a transitional living center for those in temporary need.
