Man, 36, Dies After Crashing Pickup Truck

HUNTINGTON BEACH — A 36-year-old Anaheim man died in a traffic accident Friday after he lost control of his pickup on a turn, hit a truck, then careened into a pole, authorities said.
David Stewart died at Western Medical Center-Anaheim on Friday evening after he and another passenger were extracted from the wreck and flown by helicopter to the hospital, according to police and the coroner’s office. Stewart’s female passenger was treated and released from the hospital, authorities said.
The accident occurred at 3:45 p.m. near East Adams Avenue and Newland Street, authorities said. No cause of the accident was given.
