Teacher Wants to Rescind Resignation

A white kindergarten teacher who quit under fire for writing “Where are my glasses?” on the face of a 5-year-old black girl in Charleston, S.C., said she wants her job back. Phyllis Adelsflugel, who uses face-painting as a teaching tool and a reward, said she meant the marking “as a reminder” for the girl, Nina Campbell, to wear her spectacles to school. The incident has split the community.
