Deputies to Increase Traffic Enforcement
Sheriff’s deputies in Thousand Oaks will step up traffic enforcement patrols throughout the holiday weekend in an effort to reduce speeds and the crashes that speeders cause.
Officers will be targeting the area along Knollwood Drive, a residential street between Wendy Drive and Lynn Road.
Sgt. Ken Bailey said the effort comes in response to complaints from numerous residents along the street, which has a posted speed limit of 25 mph.
Banyan Park and Banyan Elementary School, as well as a number of single-family homes, sit along the corridor. Warning signs are posted.
