Grambling’s Robinson Will Stay Put

Equipped with 405 victories as college football’s all-time winningest coach, 77-year-old Eddie Robinson is going nowhere.

As Robinson prepared for today’s annual meeting between Southwestern Athletic Conference rivals Grambling State (3-7) and Southern (6-4), he addressed rumors of his retirement.

“I’m going to quit to go where--to the doctor?” Robinson said. “I’d like to leave a good team behind.”
