TV Can Help Stop Violence
Susan Shaw’s commentary on the violence on television was an important message. Guns have become commonplace and a way of life on our city streets.
Now is the time to end the complacency and begin finding workable solutions. We have become desensitized from the constant barrage of violence we see on television and the movies, not to mention the evening news. It becomes acceptable and validated. It takes courage to take the first steps toward responsible and meaningful programs. With all the influence TV seems to wield, it has the power to reverse the current trends before it is too late to turn back.
