Courts’ Presiding Judges Are Reelected

The Ventura County Superior and Municipal Court judges have reelected their current presiding judges for next year.
Judge Robert C. Bradley will continue to serve as presiding judge of the Superior Court. Judge Charles W. Campbell Jr. will return as assistant presiding judge for 1997.
Presiding Municipal Court Judge Barry B. Klopfer was reelected to a second term. Judge Arturo F. Gutierrez will also return as assistant presiding judge. The four assignments are effective Jan. 1.
The presiding judge oversees budget and personnel matters, decides which judges handle certain criminal, civil and other cases, and serves as spokesman for the court.
