President Named by Flagstar for 1,600 Denny’s Restaurants
* John A. Romandetti has been named president of Flagstar Companies Inc.’s Denny’s subsidiary, effective Jan. 6. He will have overall responsibility for the operation of Denny’s more than 1,600 company and franchised restaurants. Romandetti had been president of the company’s Irvine-based El Pollo Loco subsidiary since December 1995. He will relocate to Denny’s headquarters in Spartanburg, S.C. Romandetti succeeds C. Ronald Petty, who resigned from Denny’s in October.
* Kurt Bloxdorf has been appointed to the new position of vice president of sales and business development for Irvine-based Aurora Electronics Inc., which provides spare parts support and electronics recycling for the computer industry. He will be located at Aurora’s Marina del Rey facilities, and will head sales and business development activities throughout North America.
* Jeff Kissling has been named vice president of development for Wonderware Corp., an Irvine maker of Windows-based industrial automation software. He was previously vice president of manufacturing systems. In addition, Pankaj Mody was appointed to the new post of chief technology officer and will direct long-term product development activities.
